It's kind of regretful that I missed out the last chance to travel around Europe my mates during Easter. To me, spending that two weeks in Malaysia way much more worthy than any other trips. Seeing you almost everyday, bought breakfast for you and talked to you. Simple routine everyday but it worths more than everything..

You brought me to the morning market.. Bought me my favourite pancake..

You bought me Digimon even parents said no..

You brought me with you touring Penang, KL, Melacca and Terangganu.. We went kek-lok-si.. We fed tortoises.. We went up KL Tower..

You picked me up from tuition classes.. Bought me Ramlee Burger..

You put me to sleep with ahkong on the bed while you slept on the floor when I went to stay with you and during school holidays..

You gave me extra pocket money..

You taught me how to behave in boarding school..

You cooked my favourite food when I visited you..

You asked me to come back for CNY again next year..

You handed me the first angpow last CNY and it's the last one already..

I saw you 2 weeks ago, you were doing your all time favourite work, cooking.. You run a restaurant offering all your masterpiece dishes.. You're serving every single customers.. You're doing all these because you enjoy cooking, you take care of everyone; just like what you did to all of us since young..

Ah Mah, I just want to tell you that I'm here doing well and don't worry about me.. I'll take care of myself..

It was on early boxing day morning..

4.30am-when I was about to start my sweet Christmas night dream, auntie from Malaysia FaceTime-d me, showing me they were having good lunch..

6am-finally got asleep..

8am-cousin FaceTime-d.. He was trying to show his friend how good is iPhone 4.. And he chose to call me instead of other ppl.. U think I am white rat for ur experiment meh? Walao...

Continued sleeping after that.. Was damn tired..

12.30pm-Vincent called me telling me about sales in bullring on boxing day..

1.30pm-auntie FaceTime-d again.. Telling me they've just finished dinner.. I saw the men were drinking chivas 18yrs old..

Wakao... Luckily don't hv gf jek.. If i do and she FaceTime-s me every 2 hrs.. I sure won't hv good night sleep anymore..

it's been a while since i last updated.. nothing much this time.. ust something emo..

saw some pictures uploaded by a friend in facebook.. it's about their prize giving ceremony in birmingham.. i felt so down out of sudden when i first looked at their pictures.. why one of them not me.. i know i can stand in there with them.. i know my capability.. i just don't feel like pushing myself to the limit most of the time.. i've lost my motivation that drives me to achieve something really big in academic..

sometimes i feel what i have done or achieved is good enough.. i used to tell friends not to pressure themselves in studies.. telling them i've been through the worst condition.. i did well in pmr, spm.. bad in a-level.. good in year1, bad in year2, ok in final year.. and now i am still survived doing master in science in university of nottingham.. thinking back, i should not be getting just 2.2 in my degree.. i supposed to get at least 2.1 or 1st class.. i know i could but i just didn't put much effort in it..

i remember what deki lai told me before he left uk.. the night after we came back from halloween party.. (it doesn't sound right deki lai was talking something serious to me at that time) he said, 'SL, do well in your msc.. you got only 2.2 in your degree, aren't you?' mate, i remember that.. i think i promised you to do my best in msc as well..

i've been in nottingham for more than 2 months.. supposedly i have well known this hometown of robin hood.. but i went back to birmingham almost very weekend.. i even go back to birmingham three times a week.. that happened just a week ago.. i have few tennis partners here.. some old friends.. and most of the time i am solo in the class.. that's the sad part..

as the only son in the family.. son of the eldest son in the family.. u can never imagine the pressure behind especially you have quite a few uncles and aunties that graduated from some top universities.. they never put pressure on you.. but you utterly feel that.. when you are the favourite grandson and your grandfather is one of the most respectful persons in the big family..

you get what you wanted in life.. pocket money, tuition fees, travel cost, sports equipment, gadgets(i got myself a macbook air recenty :) ).. most of the time as long as it's related to finance and it's affordable and reasonable to get one.. you get it.. what the family wanted back from you is graduated from the university, with good results if possible..

hou guai sei emo arrhhhh... don't want to think of those things for now.. gonna blast dynamite by taio cruz..

Been back in UK for almost a month..

Feels good to travel on big aircraft, eg A380..

Feels no good after it lands, especially at UK border..

At LHR when you have A380 and B777 landing at the same time..

Stayed in Birmingham aka hometown for few days before heading to Nottingham..

The stay, of course, inclusive of some drinking sessions..

Woken up by friends finished working from Pad Thai at 6.30am..

To have breakfast of Tequila, Bailey's, Jagermeister, Chivas, Black Label..

Wrapped up the event with puke in the kitchen basin at 9am..

Arrived in Nottingham..

Nice weather.. Chilled wind..

Settled down in this a-bit-old room..

One thing good is it's twice as big as my previous room in Birmingham..

Got my study table set..

Ready for my MSc course..

Left most of my stuff in Birmingham..

Rented a car back to hometown to bring all my rubbish to Nottingham..

Since graduated from uni,

I've heard friends getting jobs,

From continuing as a waiter in restaurant,

Starting as an engineer in a international consulting firm,

Working in the electronics field but she's graduated from chemical engineering,

Studied mechanical engineering but working in finance field,

Earning from £6 an hour, RM 6,000 a month to £60,000 a year..

I seriously going to start my working life end of next year,

Previous experiences from seniors show that to secure a good job,

One must apply EARLY,

As early as 8-10 months before graduating.

I definitely need some serious-shit thought of it.

I Wonder

Lots of friends made in primary and secondary school and in college. They come and go. Not many that still contacting each for gathering and stuffs. Some left schools early helping family business, some work independently and making money, most still studying but graduating soon, some still studying but trying to be financial independent by working part time like myself but spend even more compare to others.

Sometimes I wonder, will my university mates now still as close as it is now when all of us start working in few years time. We now studying at the university over night, work part time, DRINK, lunch, dinner, gym, badminton, basketball and so much more. All these are done together.

It was a random chill-drinking session when I first thought about this. All of us graduating soon, in this coming summer or the next one. Sooner or later all will be parting and having own career path.

Will all of us still having chill-drinking session. Chit-chatting about work and businesses?

Will all of us still playing sports together? Golf perhaps?

Will all of us still having meals together? Bak Kut Teh for breakfast? Dinner at Michelin rated French restaurants? Late night supper at Mamak at SS15?

Hmmm..

I was doing assignment two days ago, from 3pm to 3am..

Was not really concentrate in completing the assignment during the first few hours..

Was fb-ing and youtube-ing..

Looking at people around..

Kepo on what they were actually doing..

Started to kan cheong after dinner time and wanted to finish the assignment before 11pm..

House mates called at 10.30 to ask what time could I finish my assignment..

Wanted to have some chat and light drink..

Roughly 11pm, something came across my mind..

I felt like the things that I was doing at that time were so familiar..

The atmosphere, the assignment that I was rushing..

It lasted for few seconds and I came back to the reality..

Then I realised..

I dreamt about this few months ago..

Dreamt about the atmosphere..

The same kan cheong-ness..

The same computer screen I was looking at..

It was when my year 3 sem 1 just started..

How I could dream about what's going to happen in a few months time beforehand..

This is not the first time..

I had this experience few times for the past 20 years..

Sprained ankle

It's been more than 2 months since I started working part time in Malaysian Delight. It means that I have not been to gym or play any sports that frequent anymore. I only went to gym once since I started working, which is one and a half months ago and yesterday is the second time.

Wing Sheng, my housemate came into my room at 5.45pm,

WingSheng: Later 6pm plus we go gym then 8pm we go play basketball then after that go Selly Oak eat..

Me: Okok..

WingSheng: Now I want to eat instant noodles first, have not eaten anything yet today..

Me: Wa.. So geng.. Diet until like that..

We went to gym, did cycling, running on threadmill and chin-up.. Clearly we've lost our stamina.. Exhausted after 45 minutes..

Then play basketball.. Within 15 minutes, I was running left and right, no one guarded me, running for best position for ball, I fell down, sprained my ankle. My cough is still yet to cure and I now sprained my ankle??? wtf..

Stood up on my own, didn't really care about my ankle, continued playing and went to dinner with Wing Sheng..

Went out for dinner with housemates and friends last night. Had great food and conversation with them. Listened to one of them telling her experience doing part time and internship in KLCC. Seems a little too far for me to appear in that place and work in a multinational company. BUT I still think it's achievable. Confident sial..

Later that night followed them to their house. Planned for mahjung session but ended up watching my friends playing PS3. Had a football game but I was noob enough to score an own goal and got 2 yellow cards.

Chit-chatted while watching them playing and then fell asleep on the sofa with don't-know-whose blanket. Woke up around 5am and came back home. Watched drama for a while. Then slept for few hours.

Woken up by my Sorry Sorry- Super Junior alarm tone at 10.30am. Got ready and went to work at Malaysian Delight from 12-8pm. Rested twice during working hours which are lunch and dinner break (lunch break, not lunch hour..) for 10 minutes each. Worse than secondary school recess time.

Finally finished working, knew that few friends studying in uni for their exam on Tuesday, which I don't have. Tapao-ed half a roasted duck for them from my lou-sai.. Talked rubbish with them for a while then came back home.

Did laundry. Hung my Zara jacket nicely in the wardrobe. I am now going to bed. Need to work again tomorrow at the same time.

I'm in Monaco now, most probably will be the last night for my 8 days winter holiday trip if my flight back to London Stansted from Nice tomorrow is not cancelled due to bad weather.

It's been 5 days and 4 nights in Switzerland. Tiring trip following the tour but enjoyed with papa(Yoyo), son(zeneng), duck-very-dog(Heng Goh), Mr. Xuxu(Ah Chan) and boss(Boon Tat). Everyone was alcoholised all 4 nights in Switzerland.

Travelling to Monaco from Switzerland was a chi-kik experience when QH commented on facebook saying we need visa to the country hours before boarding the aircraft. I missed the booth to submit tax refund form for shopping in Switzerland, flight delayed for 1.5 hours due to bad weather, aircraft went into air turbulance, took bus from Nice Airport to Monaco, arrived in the apartment in Monaco at 1am.

Second day in Monaco was perfect. It's sunny and lovely to walk along the breezy coast of Monte Carlo. Took lots of photos, will upload some here and mostly on facebook.

Visited Monte Carlo casino in Topman pink shirt, GAP wool sweater, Topman jeans, Primark blazer and Adidas sneakers. Paid €10 for entrance and spent 20 minutes walking around the not-crowded tables and totally empty slot machines.

Had great dinner later treated by boss as the slot machines in other casino awarded him €500 jackpot.

It's 10pm now. Bored. Not going out again to jom as it's raining cats and dogs. Gonna sleep early tonight.

It's been at least 5 years I haven't see Khoon Meng since he graduated from SMK Jitra. I was in Form 3 at that time. I knew that he went to Taylor's for A-level and University of Nottingham and now working as a mechanical engineer in Coventry.

I thought we could only see each other when both of us back to our home town during Chinese New Year but I met him unexpectely in University of Nottingham Malaysian Games last month. I participated in the tennis competition and he's just helping his friends around. We had just some simple chat as it was quite late at that time and I need to rush to the bus to come back to Birmingham.

You know when you meet someone from your home town, used to hang around together and lost contact for so many years, in a foreign country, that kind of feeling is ............. (bad vocab.. dunno what word to describe..)

Last night, when I was waiting for this bunch of unpunctual EE course mates for dinner at Malaysian Delight. I saw a familiar face standing outside. It was Khoon Meng. I was like how could it be so ngam. When we don't meet, we don't see each other for 5-6 years. Now, after one month, I got to see him again. He was actually meeting a few friends for dinner as well last night.

We used to play badminton together, trained kao kao in the school team, had roti canai together after the training session. And, his classmates used to say that I look like his younger brother but I don't really think so. hehe..

It's mooncake festival and I was celebrating (erm.. should i say celebrating as it didn't seem like celebrating.. lol..) with Raymond, Gun and Zeneng..

I went over to Raymond's place with 4 cans of Carlberg Export, planning to have some chill moments. I saw Raymond, Zeneng and Gun were taking pictures with the moon when I was approaching their house. Then Raymond was like, 'Hey, here you come.. Come have some tiramisu cake made my Gun..' 'Okok'.. Raymond then straight away fed me with the tiramisu cake (How good if I was fed by my gf IF I have had one..)

We had some chitchat and of course that 4 cans of beer..

The atmosphere, food and music were good. Even the people there were nice also.

Suddenly, this angmoh lady came near to our combined table and danced near us.. err.. near me.. LOL.. I am not sure she was drunk or high or thinking that I look handsome.. hahaha..

She was close to me and the boobs were like 6-inches away from me.. It's a culture shock to me, is it? hehe..

She then GRAB my head and KISSED me on my CHEEK.

Went to One Utama after dinner with Tzyy, Vinc, Nic, Sim Ee, Zen and Gun the other day. Vinc said want to get some things before his flight to UK on the next day.

'Eh.. I want get a pair of shorts la.. The shorts that I am wearing now like so old d' I said. 'Let's go Zara..'

'Anything lo..' The gang replied.

I straight went inside Zara to look for the kind of shorts that I want. Targeted that pair of shorts the last time I came to One Utama. Went look for my target and then tried it one more time. 'Hmm.. Ngam ngam' While thinking of buying that pair of shorts I found that the button of the shorts has already came off. And that pair is the last pair in the store. And the sales person said it'll take two days to fix the bloody button.. 'What the .............'

'Eh.. Cannot la.. The button already came off.. Need two days to fix it.. I'm going back tomorrow d.. Let's go Padini' I said.

'Anything lo..' The gang replied again.

Ok.. Arrived in Padini. Went in and BROWSE for the kind of shorts that I want. After two minutes, 'Don't have le.. Nevermind la.. Buy next time' I told the gang..

Took bus from Alor Star to Ipoh. The bus stopped at don't know how many places before reaching my destination. The stupid bus made my friends waited for me for almost 3 hours in Ipoh.

Then Tzyy came and picked me up at Ipoh Bus Station and we headed to Cameron Highlands straight away.

Finally arrived in Cameron Highlands. Stayed in Vincent's apartment over there.

Since I am not so familiar with the roads in Penang. So, she suggest that we meet at McD in Autocity at 11.30AM.. Eleven Thirty Ehh Amm.. I arrived there around 11.20AM. I was early. I was thinking nevermind la, it's normal for guys to wait for girls..

So boring waiting for her alone at McD. Nevermind, I have my own entertainment --- stalk people on facebook. This time using my PDA phone and the free wifi from McD.

Then I got her call at around 11.45AM, I thought she's outside McD liao.. Mana tahu she said 'I am coming out from my house now, will be there in 15 to 20 mins'. What else can I answer her??? takkan scold her for being late meh?? 'Oh, okok.. No problem.. Waiting for you leh.. Half an hour more also can..' 'Ok, see you later la..' 'Ok, bye..' *Continue stalking people on the facebook*

Finally, she's here at McD Autocity. So me walked to her car and jumped in. Fasten the seat belt. She was in a dress. Very short somemore. Wah, wear until so short, you think can pay lesser meh.. pay more got lah.. 'I have your money with me now' She then showed me a bunch of Spore Dollar notes.. 'Later go change then pay you back.. We now go Kek Lok Si there eat laksa, then hang out in Gurney' 'Ok..'

Summary of my trip to penang..

1. Vanilla ice-cream at McD in autocity

2. Laksa near Kek Lok Si

3. Some mocha drinks at DOME in Gurney

4. Char Koey Teow, Poh Piah, Orh Chian at a hawker centre.. Forgot the name of the place..

5. Häagen-Dazs at Queensbay Mall

6. Koey Teow Basah in some where in BM

7. Starbucks in Autocity

All these happened from 12pm till 12 midnight.. Seven meals in 12 hours..

Summary of the whole post. I FAILED to collect my money back. The Spore Dollar notes dunno are real or fake ones.. wakaka..

She's wearing super short dress..

She's got too many pieces of Zara until can set up a muzeum..

She almost made my nose bleed.. Luckily I didn't.. LOL..

Blogging from phone..

It's already 11 days after my year 2 final exam, which means i lost my laptop for 11 days. It's not easy to spend your time when u don't have a laptop with you.

On the day exam finished, me and coursemates went to sing k. There were 20 of us squeesed in a 5m x 8m small karaoke room. Our host, Mr. Chen Chao asked us to be at the karaoke at 5pm. I have absolutely no idea why he asked everyone to be there at this early. Though we were having dinner there but 5pm is too early isn't it? We sang, drank and drunk, played dices, chit chat for the whole night. Tell you what, money can buy happiness. Yes, you heard me right. Just that it cost £864 for one night. Cool?

I brought one and a half bottle of chivas home. I thought I earned it because we shared the bill and one and a half bottle of chivas is already worth more than what I have paid. Sounds that I am smart right can take chivas back. The smarter thing is coming. I found out that my house was broken in when I reached home. I lost my laptop. But how the theif came in? Because I didn't lock my door. Smart?

For the next few days, I can only rot at home, facebook and msn using phone, play tennis and go swimming. This is so sien weh.. My housemates haven't finish their exam yet. They are not going out anytime soon and therefore I can't follow them.

Finally their exam finished and I followed them enjoy life and play. wakaaka.. We played pool, watched movies and jomjom. Most important, we went for good food with good mood. Yeah!!

On the next day, I followed tzyy to Sheffield. He sold his desktop to a friend there. So I became the kuli help him deliver the desktop to the friend. We then walked around the city of Sheffield. It's quite nice. The buildings over there are far more modern than those in Birmingham. It's a day trip.

The next day (short of vocab), me, housemates and few more friends went to Bicester Village. It's a shopping heaven. Things there are branded and much cheaper than those in shopping complex. Once again I spent like nobody's business. Few hundred Pounds gone.

At night, big event.. Drinking party. Drinking only pure liquor from shot glasses. Whoever attended the party brought with them a bottle of liquor. 17 of us kaotim 10 bottles of pure liquor. I KO after 10 shots.

Wa.. Didn't know I can blog so long using my phone. It's not a bad phone after all. Why I keep regreting signing up for it.?

Because we left the window and room door unlocked..

Been disappearing for quite sometime already. Even my last post also just a re-upload of a video that i used to upload a month ago.

For the past two months, I can say that I am working non-stop on my projects, reports and also preparing for exams. Things going from bad to worse when exam was just like two weeks away.

It was 8.20pm when I was walking back from the university library. I was there since noon and this is the first time I study for such long time at since SPM. I haven't been this hardworking before. I have no idea why??? Maybe I want to do Masters in my degree instead of just Bachelor degree (need 60% average and above in 2nd year to do Masters) ??? I don't know.

It's not far actually to walk back from the library back to my house. It's less than 20 minutes walk (LOL.. At least in the UK it's not far..). I wished I would have more time to prepare for exams, not just two weeks. That's just too short..

Finally, it's come. This picture I took after my second paper. I had one paper in the morning and another one in the afternoon. I was really exhausted. I was writing non-stop during the 3-hour exam. I have another paper on the next day. It was three papers in a row. Walao eh... I tell you ar.. That time I really want to die liao.. You see my face like damn beh song d..

Three papers kao tim. Now I can have a slight break because the next paper is on the next week..

Day before the fourth paper, I was supposed to study my engineering subject but what was I looking at? 'Language, the poet and the world' What is this? What was I doing?

Been getting so much supports and encouragement from all my loyal fans and readers. Thank you for all your suggestions and opinions on my entries.

This time, I would like to blog about a restaurant in Birmingham, UK. The first time I went to this restaurant, I was surprised. It's not a restaurant if you look from the outside. It's just a normal house. A house that usually rented out to university students. There are five staffs all together in the restaurant but there will be another chef helping if there is any big party held over there.

There is this particular staff that I have to mention. Even he's just a newbie in this area, he can already prepare some good dishes. He's pro in preparing food that have the mixture between the western and the eastern. It might be weird for some people but at least it's nice for me.

The last time I went he made me this special dish, steamed egg.

You can see that why is it a black dot in the middle. It's actually a special design by him. He doesn't want his steamed egg to look dull as the usual one. He purposely pour some soy sauce on it when the steamed egg is almost ready. This is the most creative and interesting dish that I've ever seen.

When it comes to its taste, I've no suitable adjective to describe how delicious it is. It's just simply awesome. It's a 5-stars cuisine that uses only minced pork, eggs, oyster sauce, soy sauce and some pepper. That's all.
